Product development approach
Define opportunities and goals
A detailed plan is developed for a new concept or product during the initial client intake consultation.
Consultation is also provided on upgrades to an existing product or cost-efficiency measures to remain competitive.
Design your ideas into products
During this stage concepts are developed to give direction to the requirements the client has set out. It usually is a necessity to challenge the requirements in order to achieve the best results.
Creating prototypes of the concepts often add value in making the right decision.
Once a concept has been chosen, we can start the next stage.
Develop and get all the details right
Designing is quite often multitasking between your dreams and reality. During the development stage it is important to know what the possibilities are in respect to material, process, costs, finish, color, assembly, manufacturing lead time, country, etc.
This stage is all about detailing the design for RFQ’s and creating all necessary files for production.
Prototyping is a major part of validating the design for various aspects. These include, assembly, esthetics, handling, producibility, strength, etc.
Deliver for market introduction
All necessary files are finalized for production and shared with the client appointed, suppliers for tooling and production startup.
The suppliers may request changes at this stage which are usually dependent on their way of producing tooling and parts.
After these changes the design is frozen, and the first production trial can proceed. After producing the first parts, they are quality and function tested. If all is well production may start.
